Our History

Founded in 2005 by Seth Spurlock, BCS was established to meet the growing demand for cost-effective specialty chemicals and custom manufacturing solutions. With deep roots in Sandersville, GA, our facility has been manufacturing polyacrylates since the 1980s, providing a strong foundation for our operations.

In 2007, we expanded our capabilities by acquiring adjacent property to formulate EPA-registered biocides. By incorporating bulk storage tanks, we significantly reduced lead times and strengthened our purchasing power, enhancing our ability to meet customer needs.

Over the years, our management team has focused on building both our product offerings and our dedicated BCS team. This commitment has enabled us to create more value for our customers through our own product line expansion and custom manufacturing services, while continuously reinvesting in our plant’s capabilities.

In 2020, we took a significant step forward by commissioning our advanced polymer reactor, “Phoenix.” This new reactor provided enhanced process control, allowing us to produce a broader range of polymer products and tackle more complex formulations.

Most recently, in 2024, we expanded even more and commissioned the SanCastle Polymer Production Plant at our Sandersville site. This state-of-the-art facility positions us to grow in both current and new markets, expanding our tolling and contract manufacturing capacity while offering space for future development as we continue to innovate with our partners.
