Acrylic acid/AMPS co-polymers (AA/AMPS)
Copolymers made from acrylic acid and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS) commonly used as scale inhibitors in high pH cooling water systems that utilize phosphate and/or zinc for corrosion control. These polymers have functionality in paints & coatings, detergent & personal care formulations, concrete admixtures and the pulp & paper industry. Fluorescent tagged polymers
Polymers of various monomers including acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS) and maleic anhydride tagged with a vinyl fluorescent monomer. Incorporation of the tagged monomer allows for careful monitoring of polymer feed rate in cooling loops and other water treatment applications.
